Södervärnskolan

Södervärnskolan is a primary school serving students in grades 4-9.

The school currently has about 650 students, distributed across grades 4-9. There is also an after-school program at the school. The catchment area includes southern Visby, Eskelhem, Västerhejde, Träkumla, and Stenkumla.

We aim to create a good study environment for everyone through clear structure, collegial collaboration, and shared responsibility. We engage in school development to continuously evolve into a leading school, focusing on safety, well-being, and higher goal achievement.

The school works with digital learning tools where students have their own computers as work tools. The school has a librarian, student buddy, and social pedagogues for additional support for students. A counselor and school nurse are present at the school daily.

Södervärnskolan has a good sports hall and access to dedicated rooms for home economics and crafts. The school has its own kitchen providing fantastic food, as well as a newly renovated school library with a large selection of literature integrated with the school café. Södervärnskolan is now looking for a school administrator for 100%.

Your Responsibilities

Your tasks include working with personnel, payroll, and financial administration in systems such as Medvind, HRplus, Edlevo, Hypergene, and Proceedo. You will also administer grades and archiving.

The role also involves coordinating staffing and ordering substitutes during short-term sick leave. This work is done together with another administrator. You will work closely with the school management, which consists of three school leaders: one principal and two assistant principals.

Who Are You?

We consider it an advantage if you have training in the systems mentioned above. If you have previous experience working as a school administrator, preferably at the middle school level, we also see that as a merit.

The personal qualities we are looking for include being a positive problem solver who can handle periods of high workload and is confident in themselves even when challenges arise. You should enjoy working with service and people. As a school administrator, you support school staff, students, and guardians. You are the first person visitors meet at the school.

About the Education and Labor Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults in the education and labor administration.
